A great collection of songs from Detroit-based songwriters united with the unique Kate Hinote Trio sound. Starting with the ethereal, yet powerful voice of Kate Hinote, joined by Matthew Parmenter on violin, and David Johnson on acoustic guitar. Matthew can make his one violin play many parts, even somehow being a backup vocal - just listen carefully to see. David, well, it's all there, the piece that is the foundation and really makes this work. This is an album that rewards on re-listening.

Love this! Reminds me of the early Paisley Underground bands in parts, combines all the energy and fiery spirit of punk with all the optimism of 60s Psych-pop. Love the layered harmonies and delightful guitar sounds. Cheers!
